The developments should contribute to achieving the highest possible level of comfort and health for the occupants. This goal was realised by combining different sciences.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;3380&#8243;][vc_column_text]\n<h2>APLICONS PROJECT<\/h2>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1634107932420{padding-top: 15px !important;}&#8221;]\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Antimicrobial paints based on nanotechnology &#8211; IPT-2011-1499900000.<\/p>\n<p>Period: 2011 &#8211; 2013<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the &#8220;APLICONS&#8221; project was to develop coatings for the construction and industrial sectors based on nanotechnology with an antimicrobial surface. The aim was to avoid the use of conventional organic biocides and to research new technologies for achieving a functional, antimicrobial surface.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;3379&#8243;][vc_column_text]\n<h2>FOODTECH &amp; COATINGS PROJECT<\/h2>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1634107972047{padding-top: 15px !important;}&#8221;]\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Development of alternative film and preservative agents for aqueous coatings &#8211; RTC-2014-2020-5.<\/p>\n<p>Period: 2014 &#8211; 2016<\/p>\n<p>The objective of the FOODTECH &amp; COATINGS PROJECT was the development of alternative preservatives and film protectors for paints and coatings based on active ingredients of natural origin. The microbial efficacy of free and microencapsulated substances from food preservatives was investigated with the aim of using them in water-based paints.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_separator][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;50px&#8221;][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;3378&#8243; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]\n<h2>FDA &amp; EU FOOD PAINTS<\/h2>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1634108000812{padding-top: 15px !important;}&#8221;]\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Development of paints and varnishes for direct contact with food according to VO (EU) 10\/2011 and FDA 21 CFR 175.300.<\/p>\n<p>Period: 2016 &#8211; 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The main objective of the project was the development and certification of paints and varnishes that meet both the European and the US requirements for direct food contact coatings according to Regulation (EU) 10\/2011 and FDA 21 CFR 175.300. The project was carried out in cooperation with the Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico del Pl\u00e1stico de Valencia (AIMPLAS) and successfully completed.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;3382&#8243;][vc_column_text]\n<h2>BIOTECH COATINGS<\/h2>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1634108022516{padding-top: 15px !important;}&#8221;]\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Development of alternative preservatives based on peptides and metabolites.<\/p>\n<p>Period: 2018 &#8211; 2020<\/p>\n<p>The aim of this project is to further develop the successful FOODTECH &amp; COATINGS project.
