Here, it is not only functional, but also a fully-fledged renovation paint for ceilings and walls. Most anti-mould paints are also antibacterial. Mould needs moisture to grow. If an anti-mould paint is used to protect the substrate from mould infestation after the substrate has been renovated, it should be breathable, i.e. open to vapour diffusion. With an anti-mould paint that is open to vapour diffusion, residual moisture can diffuse out of the substrate and condensation on the surface into the wall. This reduces the &#8220;water&#8221; on the surface, especially in the area of thermal bridges.<\/p>\n<h2>What is the difference between the properties of an anti-mould paint and a paint with film protection?<\/h2>\n<p>An anti-mould paint contains biocidal active substances. These actively protect the substrate, i.e. the masonry, the wallpaper, the basement wall, from mould infestation. An anti-mould paint explicitly praises these properties as its essential function. An anti-mould paint is a biocide product.<\/p>\n<p>In a paint with film protection, the surface of the paint, i.e. the paint film, is protected by active substances against possible mould infestation. A paint with film protection is not an anti-mould paint, but a &#8220;treated product&#8221; according to the Biocide Ordinance.<\/p>\n<p>FAKOLITH paints with film protection are:<br \/>\nDISPERLITH
