Important criteria for product selection
The surface of a coating equipped with BIO.FILM.STOP technology is protected against microbial infestation. This means that the surface of the coating has bactericidal, antiviral and – depending on the technology – fungicidal protection.
Our hygienic coatings are used in the private, public, medical and industrial sectors. Since we cover a wide range of applications, the following criteria, among others, should be taken into account when selecting the right colour:
- Disinfectant resistance
- Vapour diffusion and water absorption
- Opacity and adhesion to various substrates
- Chemical resistance
- Certification for clean rooms
- Certification for direct contact with food
- CE marking
- Processing conditions (e.g. in cold rooms)
It would not be expedient to certify a coating with a high antimicrobial property if it is not chemically and physically suitable for the intended application. Our application technology will be happy to assist you in selecting the right coating.
High, comprehensive antimicrobial protection
The FAKOLITH coatings equipped with the “blue” BIO.FILM.STOP technology offer a high level of comprehensive antimicrobial protection (bacteria 99.9%, viruses 99.49%, fungi 99.9%).
High antimicrobial protection for direct food contact
The FAKOLITH coatings equipped with the “green” BIO.FILM.STOP technology are certified for direct contact with food in accordance with VO (EU) 10/2011. In addition, they have important bactericidal and antiviral properties for hygienic areas (bacteria 99.9%, viruses 99.49%).
